Where Slavs better when they were Pagan?
Opinion by K@
“Looking at today we see Christianity first destroying evidence of ancestral faith, then dividing Slavs on Orthodox and Catholic, and then even more dividing them on smaller sects and ***** on other side taking over others. Today Slavic ethnic circle is in a mess, divided at war between each other with each Church warmongering them one on another while if one would look at some old Slavic history one would gain impression of unity, collectivism and cultural flourishing and on end taking over half of Europe and parts of Asia…would you say we would were better without the abrahamic faiths?”
Opinion By Cvetinov:
“There was no unity between the Slavs before christiandom. It was a mere tribal society following the polytheistic worldview. The Serb tribes for example weren’t united up until the Volga Bolgars started conquering the Sclaviniae (Slav lands of the Byzantine empire – predecessor of the south Slavic nations). Only after the imminent threat did most of the Serb tribes unite under one leader, lord Vlastimir son of Prosigoj, to defend themselves against the others.
It is true that the schism of christiandom in 1054 put us on different sides, some under and the other against the pope. Nonetheless I do not believe that without christiandom we would be united, more so we would be even more divided as tribes. One should expect great love between Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Serbia, Mongenegro, Macedonia since they all share a common religious tradition, this is not so.
We (Slavs as well as Germans) all adopted the Roman Christian worldview, which made us from ‘barbarians’ to civilised folk, still we didn’t forget who we are, and what we are, we kept cherishing our culture, language and our ancestral traditions. What I would like to see is more solidarity between our people. If NATO would attack Russia in some wild-dream scenario, I wouldn’t be cheering, even if I am a greek-catholic Banderovets from Lviv, and a fierce Russophobe… I don’t have to like them, but they are attacking some of us.”

“While Slavs were predominantly Slavic rodnovers they’ve controlled vast area from southeastern Denmark and eastern Switzerland in the west and southern Sweden in the north to Peloponnese in the south and Ural in the east – in other words territory in Europe under control of Slavs while they upheld their ancestral faith was greater by far, then it is now, when Abrahamic religions are dominant among Slavs.
Also, situation with human rights was better by far.
And of course there were no division between various denominations of Abrahamic religions, and no large scale inter-Slavic wars which are legacy of Abrahamic religions.”

Of Course the faith of our Ancestors was the only way to be united today with less wars between us and more higher in Spirituality and Knowledge!!!

I don’t think “Christianity” as some sort of mythologized homogeneous, highly-organized/centralized force “destroyed” or “divided” anything, all on its own, any more than any other religion might have, there/then or elsewhere/when. These things are always a complex web of religious, political and [one or more] ethnocultural forces in tension and/or conflict. Religion is often a tool of social control, but that doesn’t necessarily invalidate the religion as a whole.
Some came to Christianity willingly, some were coerced. Every religion has seen a diversity of individual and communal interpretations throughout its history.
I can’t say Slavs were “better” or “worse” off without Christianity; we could speculate endlessly on how things _might_ have turned out otherwise, it all amounts to a “hill of beans,” as Bogey/Rick Blaine would say. This is the way it _did_ happen, and it’s for us to look _to the future,_ based on the lessons of the past, and consider how we can plot a positive course collectively, as Christian/Pagan/Other/non-religious Slavs.
Nem nem soha!
Religion and Pagan were in the same Era. When the Goddess Cultures began its sun setting phase, the 13th phase with the absence of the Goddess, the Men divided into two: PAGAN AND RELIGION. These men came to agreements among each other to take over all spiritual and community leadership and kill if they had to. Eventually the Pagan men and the Religious men turned against each other and all of you know the result today. Now with the resurgence of Europe and Eastern Europe reincarnates who were once pagan, the religious and pagan men will fight again, mostly in philosophical ways bringing the 13th cycle to its final closing and the beginning of the 1st of the 13th cycle back to the Goddess and woman and grandmothers leadership once again. Each cycle is 2000 years long, so the next 11 cycles will be woman again, and then in 27,000 years from now, pagan men and religious men again will fight for power of rulership again.
If you want to go back to paganism then you have to be prepared for BLOOD SACRIFICE. Under the pagans temples were slaughter houses and priests were butchers. And this is true of nearly all pagan religions with the exception of Buddhism and Jainism.
Herodotus (`Father of History’) writes endless examples of blood/human sacrifice among the different tribes which occupied Russia to the Danube. When a Skythian king died, 50 youths and 50 horses were sacrificed at his kurgan. Everyone was expected to mutilate themselves to graphically demonstrate their grief for the dead king.
Sauromatians were also heavily into blood sacrifice. Skythians and Sauromatae were the Proto Slavs.
Many people seem to have an idealized view of pagan religions. The media likes to present it as a purer, more innocent time when people with flowers in their hair held hands and danced in green fields. Was that before or after the child/dog/horse was sacrificed and its blood sprinkled on the fields for good harvest?
Christianity was a HUGE step forward for mankind. Don’t let anyone deceive you. But like anything else that is good, there are evil elements which try to drive wedges betw peoples based on their brand of Christianity – as with Catholics and Orthodox. Divide and Conquer is the oldest game in the warfare book.
